Between December 22, 2025, and January 8, 2026, Joana Galego inhabited Galeria Belard as her working studio.
Questioning the gallery's role as a traditionally sterile white cube and dismantling conventional barriers between art-making and consumption, the artist gradually created a a larger-than-life collage that covered the walls and ceiling of one entire gallery room, before becoming the ground for her paintings.
On January 8, 2026, from 6-9pm, Galeria Belard invites you to the opening of Os Dias Mais Curtos, Joana Galego's solo exhibition, where the resulting site-specific installation is revealed in its completed form.
