Ana Jacinto Nunes (b.1973) is a Portuguese artist living in Macau who works in a variety of media, such as painting, drawing, serigraphy, sculpture and ceramics. Over the last 20 years, her work has been widely presented internationally, with solo exhibitions in art galleries in the USA, Germany, Macau (China) and Portugal.

Ana Jacinto Nunes has also participated in several artistic projects and residencies internationally, namely at the Scuola Internazionale Di Grafica, in Venice, Italy, at the Vermont Studio Center, in Vermont, USA, and at the Banff Art Center, in Calgary, Canada.

Having lived between Portugal and Macau, the influences of both cities overflow into her most recent work. She considers drawing as a primordial apprenticeship, without which nothing of value can be created, and therefore uses it as an essential and exploratory basis for all her pieces. Each experience is a learning experience, each result gives rise to yet another question.
